It was moons since the four clans had moved to their new home. They had finally gotten accustomed to the changes in their environment. Once again they had their rivals, alliances, and their own territory. But then, things took a turn for the worst again.
A comet hit. Not a big one, but one big enough to wipe out the forest. Very few cats survived and now, those survivors had to get used to the unbalances in their forest.
Now, the survivors got their picks. They could live in the part of the forest that nearly got flooded out, the part where it snowed year-round, the part that was pure desert, or the part that always seemed to be stormy.
They took their claims and a couple moons later, when there were more cats back in the forest and they weren't all so dependent on each other anymore, they formed their own clans. So from the scraps of Riverclan, Windclan, Shadowclan, and Thunderclan, we got Waveclan, Frostclan, Desertclan, and Stormclan. The cats don't seem to mind much anymore, since they kept the wild sparks of life left in their forest burning.
