The area everyone needs to read! 'specially you newbies out there!

Okay, I will walk you through this as best I can, so pay attention!

Name:
The ever-important name. Keep in mind that, as far as warriors cats go, names are subject to change very often, so don't get too incredibly attached to it. Anyway, on to business!

First and foremost; pick something appropriate. Remember that we have all ages of members here, so no names like "Redbutt" or equally ridiculous ones will not be accepted.

Secondly, pick a name that will reflect on your cat, or their appearance. Calling a solid black cat "Orangestripe" makes no sense in any way, so don't do it. Calling a solid black cat "Whiteheart" works, so that would be acceptable.

Clan:
The clan is self explanatory, although it may be difficult to pick at times. Try this little trick; go ahead and fill out personality first. Once that's done, go back and read the personalities of various cats in each clan, then put your cat in the clan where they'd best fit.

Status:
Easy enough, right? A few tips for you to consider before you fill this out: How long do you want to keep your cat? The older you make your cat in it's bio, the shorter you'll be able to keep it. No cheating, either. Keep your cat too long and one of the staff will come along and kill it. ~<3

Gender:
This is really up to you. There are no tips I can offer except this: Do you want to be a mommy or not?

History:
This'd be the part that irritates the staff most often.

There are no desendants of canon characters!

If you've read the story, which you should have, then you'll know that most of the old cats died, and that new cats immigrated and now make up most of the clans. You don't even have a way of knowing if the cat you refer to even survived the comet or not. Make up your own ancestors so you won't tick us off, please.

Also, keep in mind that a cats history is what shapes their personality, or vice versa. A happy-go-lucky cat probably wasn't raised with cannibals. (Well, possibly, but not probably.)

Lastly, try not to be overly dramatic. Realisticly, not every cat in the forest (desert/mountain/whatever) had a childhood where they were their parents perfect child, or their parents got eaten by dogs, or they were a child prodigy, or whatever.

Appearance:
Here's a friendly little tip to make your appearance perfect. (At least your bio, anyway. Perfect characters period aren't accepted.) Fill out history and personality first. If they're an evil cat, use negative words to describe their appearance, so everyone can get a better feel of how they are.

"He has dark eyes that glitter coldly with hatred for the world" sounds better then "He has black eyes", right?

Keep their history in mind as well. If they got into fights when they were younger, load 'em up with battle scars. If they liked helping the medicine cat, say if they look overly clean or if they have grass stains around their mouth from chewing poultices.

Personality:
Have as much fun here as you'd like! This is where you differenciate your cat from everyone elses. Make them evil, make them good, make them bipolar, make them unpredictable to everyone but you. Just remember, nobody's perfect. If they are, then they don't get accepted.

IC:
You can use all the other tips and tricks at your disposal to come up with a good IC, and I (as well as all the other staff) fully expect you to.

Also, I have something to add. What I do to make my appearance and personality more descriptive, I try to categorize them into three paragraphs.

For appearance:
1st Parrie- Body description. Are they lean, skinny, fat, well-built? How long is their tail? Have any abnormally-long or short body parts?
2nd Parrie- Colorings and markings. What color is their pelt? Eyes? Have any unique pelt markings (not birthmarks though)?
3rd Parrie- Scars and Birthmarks. How many scars do they have? They have to have at least some otherwise they'd be perfect. Birthmarks? What about that spot the may have on the pad of their right-front paw? You decide!

For personality:
1st Parrie- Their overall personality. Are they caring? Sympathetic? A user? Messed up in the head (haha Bleach)? Tell us! We need to know!
2nd Parrie- Favorites. What's their favorite food? Favorite hang-out spot? Stuff like that...
3rd Parrie- Views on their clan. How do they feel about the clan? Are they very serious when it comes to working? Do they love their clan to pieces? Are they extremely loyal? Or not?
